If you have been reading my blog then you know I talk about prayer A LOT. It always seems to come up in my writing because after all, it is one of the single most important aspects of a Christian's spiritual life, connecting us to our Creator. It also has been key to my transformation and the manifestation of God's promises in my life. One day years ago, my best friend and I were in an Applebee's late at night, and we were just talking about how important prayer is, yet we were struggling to do so consistently and continuously in our personal lives. After talking it out and realizing how important it is, we decided that we would do something about it and committed to praying with each other 2-3 times a week. I know for a fact that that season of praying changed the both of our lives for the better. It is no coincidence that both of us were found by our husbands, engaged and married within 2 years along with countless other testimonies. Not because God gave us these things as some sort of prize (although He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him according to Hebrews 11:8), but more because through prayer, we began to unlock the mysteries of God (1 Corinthians 14:2) and pray out His perfect will for our life. You see God has a plan for you, but unless you spend time with the One who made the plan, you will never see it come to full fruition.
I understand that sometimes we don't even know where to start when it comes to praying and sometimes our prayer life gets a little stale so I have decided to compile a list of prayer prompts that will help you jumpstart or recharge your prayer life. All you have to do is begin praying with the phrases listed and finish the sentence with whatever is on your heart. You don't have to pray them all in one day either. You can finish them off in a week or even a month. They are just meant to be a guide to get you started and help you flow. You will find that as you begin with these prompts, they will begin to PROMPT you of things to pray for serving as a guide.
I pray you have a fruitful time of prayer, and I would love to hear your experience after using these. Please feel free to share and pin.
